Experience:
Keith Conroy is the Vice President of Development and Government Relations for VRG. Keith is involved in many of VRG’s public policy initiatives as well as VRG’s economic development and real estate projects.
Prior to joining VRG, Keith was Assistant Deputy Director at the Ohio Dept of Development (ODOD) helping oversee the Economic Development Division. He was responsible for shared daily management and oversight of the division which oversees the Offices of Business Development, Tax Incentives, Workforce Development, Credit & Finance, Servicing, and Small Business. The Economic Development Division had a budget of $253 million and managed a loan/bond portfolio of over $400 million. The division’s six offices employed 60 associates.
Keith held several positions within ODOD including Business Development Manager, Key Projects Manager and International Business Liaison. Additionally Keith assisted with public policy and legislative decisions of the Department, including advising the Lt. Governor and Governor on key issues that affected businesses in Ohio. While with the ODOD Keith was directly involved with the creation and enhancements of a number of key programs and initiatives including: Job Ready Sites, American Electric Power Infrastructure Grant, Targeted Industry Attraction, and Industrial Site Improvement Fund programs.
In November 2001 Conroy was elected as Township Trustee in Millcreek Township in Union County and is now in his second term. Keith lived in Japan for more than five years and has traveled extensively around Asian for business and pleasure. Prior to joining the ODOD, Keith was the International Relations Coordinator for Ageo City, Japan.
