SERVICES
Asset
and Claims Servicing
Value Recovery Group serves numerous government agencies and the real
estate and financial services industries with strategic asset management
and disposition services, special loan servicing, and export claims
servicing. For HUD Office of Multi-Family Housing Assistance and Restructuring,
VRG and RER Solutions, LLC (Herndon, VA) service all of the second mortgages
and contingent repayment notes secured by restructured Section 8 multi-family
projects. VRG and RER are also the exclusive contractor on claim processing
and servicing for the Export-Import Bank of the U.S..
International
Recovery Services
In April of 2004, VRG founded Global Recovery Group, LLC, which has
an exclusive contract with The Export-Import Bank of the United States
for the recovery of claims under $20 million excluding long-term guarantees.
Merchant
Banking
VRG is currently collecting on debt held in its own portfolio. We have
a strong network of collection law firms, investigators, fraud examiners
and asset managers serving the world, in all jurisdictions.
Investigative
Services
VRG’s investigative professionals strategically use technology
to reconstruct the paper trail that captures mined information and then
identifies and utilizes new information to optimize recovery. VRG has
developed its own search methodologies, which consistently enhance collections.
VRG’s research, investigative and asset management capabilities
are some of the key reasons why we enjoy the highest collection results
in the United States for the FDIC.
Brownfield
Development
VRG, along with the help of other partner operations, has created an
organization dedicated to the revitalization and redevelopment of areas
known as “brownfields.” This venture is geared to cleaning
up abandoned industrial properties, landfills, railfields and waste
disposal sites. The brownfields are then transformed into productive
real estate, which not only offers new development opportunities, but
also addresses major environmental concerns.
The
Ohio Attorney General
The Ohio Attorney General’s Office (the “OAG”) is
the repository of archived debt which is comprised of unpaid claims
and taxes owed to the State Treasury on behalf of 130 state agencies.
These are distressed receivables and are between four and forty years
old and have been deemed uncollectable. VRH is the sole contractor to
the OAG to collect upon this multi-billion dollar portfolio.
VRH has created
protocols for collection, settlement, litigation and closure of these
files, establishing standards of diligent review which provide the OAG
with a high level of comfort in VRH’s decision-making process.
VRH’s skill and patience in pursuing all possible avenues of collection
services provide not only higher than expected recoveries, but also
the added value of providing the OAG with final and complete resolution
of all related archive debt.
Our collection
and compromise methodologies and approaches are exemplary and are being
viewed as “Best Practices” by the Ohio Department of Taxation,
the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation and the OAG. Given this current
activity with the state of Ohio, VRH is one of less than 20 approved
GSA contractors that currently are active in the collection of state
personal, corporate and other forms of income tax.
